WESTERN REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Thermo-Kinetics has an opening for a Western Regional Sales Manager operating out of our Calgary office.  The Western Sales Manager is responsible for sales in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.  Thermo-Kinetics is a well-established Canadian manufacturer and distributor with a national presence which includes offices in Calgary, Toronto and Montreal.  Thermo-Kinetics is strategically focusing its energy, effort and expertise on process and temperature instrumentation and is looking for a highly motivated individual to assist us with the expected growth in many of our core and expanding markets. The Western Sales Manager must be familiar with the workings of the following industries:  Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Mining, Pulp and Paper, Manufacturing, Water and Wastewater and Food & Beverage.  Experience at the EPC level in Calgary would be a considerable asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and grow sales in an established territory
• Support sales staff in their selling and prospecting efforts
• Increase the Customer base in the territory through active prospecting
• Develop and maintain good business relationships with Customers and Principals
• Assist Customers with application choices
• Product training requirements and demonstration of the applicable products
• Participate in Trade Shows / Exhibitions
• Ability to work independently and manage and grow the territory based on a documented sales plan, including weekly reporting
• A large part of your time will be spent in sales to your own existing customers while prospecting for new ones ie. more “selling” than “managing”
• Manage a staff of 4

APTITUDES AND COMPETENCIES:
• Possess an Instrumentation/Electrical/Engineering Diploma or Degree
• Minimum 5 years experience in Industrial Sales
• Experience in temperature, flow, level and pressure
• A strong understanding of many different industries
• Must be organized, self-starting, process driven, enthusiastic team player with an excellent attitude and be able to work independently, including calling on Customers and supporting sales staff
• Must be able to communicate with Customers at all levels
• Must have a good work ethic, motivated by results, with excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize

COMPENSATION:
• Combination of base salary, commission and bonus
