Toronto (Mississauga), Ontario

On Thursday May 4, 2017, Thermo-Kinetics participated in the Southern Ontario Process & Automation Show, with a great turnout. We showcased a variety of products including Thermocouples, Portable Thermometers, and RTD's! Here's a few pictures of our booth below:

This past February, Thermo-Kinetics and Honeywell representatives held an Experion LX Roadshow in Montreal and Toronto to give partners and customers an opportunity to further understand and get hands-on experience with Honeywell Experion LX Distributed Control Systems.

With a great turnout of over 40 people, Thermo-Kinetics and Honeywell were able to promote and explain the differences between a DCS and PLC. The seminars provided vital information to all who attended in a relaxed atmosphere.

With the numerous people in attendance, both Thermo-Kinetics and Honeywell were thrilled that the attendees were able to learn something new about the LX Distributed Control Systems.

We look forward to our next Seminar, and hope all can attend the next event.

Here are a few pictures from the seminars.

LumaSense makes Thermo-Kinetics the ONLY authorized Repair and Calibration Centre in Canada for their Temperature Products

Calibration and Repair personnel have attended factory training in Santa Clara, CA and Frankfurt, Germany and a large investment has been made in a high-temperature calibration furnace to allow for in-house calibrations of E2T Infrared Thermometers used in the Oil and Gas field, as well as other users of Infrared Thermometers. Previous maximum temperature limit of 1,500°C for infrared calibrations has increased to 2,500°C with the acquisition of the new furnace.

"Being able to offer repair and calibration of these devices without having to go to the U.S. or Germany will greatly benefit our customers both in turnaround time as well as cost", says Peter Dello - Central Region Manager.

Thermo-Kinetics also recently successfully completed the renewal assessment of their ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation which will be in effect until February 2017.

New DCS for Mid-size Applications

A new, purpose built Mid-Size DCS and SCADA system with 100% Honeywell technology. Based on the proven technology and reliability of the C300 controller.

Many industrial operations require the performance and reliability of a DCS and seek to avoid the pitfalls of a DIY distributed control system. Honeywell has addressed this need with its Experion LX system, which offers the power and reliability of a DCS in a small and versatile solution ideal for continuous processors as well as batch and sequence-oriented manufacturers. Experion LX requires less engineering effort to configure and is easier to maintain than a PLC-based system. With out-of-the-box functionality and flexibility, it requires less implementation cost and less ongoing maintenance.

Scalability with room to grow, start small, expand, only pay for what is needed.
Build your own DCS with Experion LX or let us take care of it with one of our partner Integrator.

New product

The TR6 is an electronic compensator that corrects temperature values of long downhole thermocouples (in excess of 200m) prone to errors due to higher loop resistances. Most modern instrumentation is not manufactured to handle higher loop resistances inherent in longer length thermocouples. The TR6 was developed in 2013 by Thermo-Kinetics who offers this unique first of a kind instrument to the downhole monitoring industry.

It will be featured at the upcoming Global Petroleum Show in Calgary, AB, at the Stampede Park on June 10-12, 2014. Please visit us at our booth in the Upper Big Four - Booth 4163.

Thermo-Kinetics the 2013 HoneywellPIMS North American Distributor of the Year

At the Honeywell Users Group and Channel Partner Conference in San Antonio Texas, Thermo-Kinetics was recognized as the Honeywell 2013 PIMS (Process Instruments and Modular Solutions) North American Distributor of the Year.

We are please to introduce Honeywell’s new SmartLine® temperature transmitter. It sets a new standard for total performance in harsh and noisy process environments. Along with SmartLine Pressure, these transmitters are the industry’s first modular and most reliable transmitters, delivering total value across the entire plant lifecycle.

With better performance, modular construction, an advanced display and the best integration features, Honeywell helps our customers reduce project costs and startup time, avoid unplanned downtime, improve product quality, reduce spare parts inventory and shorten time to repair.

Calibration Services

Thermo-Kinetics has been recognized as the first factory authorized service centre for LumaSense Technologies products.

Personnel from Thermo-Kinetics ISO/IEC 17025 accredited lab attended training in Santa Clara, CA for training on Repair and Calibration of LumaSense Technologies line of products that they are marketing here in Canada.

Part two and more in depth training will be held in Frankfurt Germany later this year.

"Thermo-Kinetics has always strived to provide the highest level of customer service and support, thus providing local repair and calibration of equipment that we sell (as well as other manufacturers equipment) has been an integral part of our business. The ability to provide repair and calibration service including warranty work gives our customers the peace of mind that their equipment will be returned to them quickly and for a lower cost than the customer having to bear the expense of returning their equipment to the manufacturer overseas." - Tony Ghanbari - Calibration and Lab Manager stated.
